 Founded in Sydney late 2009, Meet A Sitter is  boutique  service that connects busy parents in need  of babysitting  with quality sitters and nannies.  

At each hour plus-long event, parents personally meet and  interview candidates to find the one(s) that suit your needs and that of your precious family. Then, walk away with the Meet A Sitter resume portfolio of all the candidates you've just met. 

Similarly, babysitters and nannies get to meet potential families to help in a safe environment – enabling them to better find their right match(es) having had the chance to ask and answer questions directly with the parents.

MEI KOON - FOUNDER & CHIEF PARENT-IN-HOUSE

An HR and marketing professional turned new mother, Mei found her life upturned by the arrival of a bouncing baby boy. Life certainly took a different tack with date-night and the luxury of time disappearing swiftly! Finding the right babysitter for her precious little man was often a focus but harder than she thought. It was the same with all her friends.

After spending days scouring online databases or dealing with agencies and scheduling one-on-one interviews, it just became too tedious for a working parent. What’s more, it often resulted in no one suitable!

There had to be a better way! The objective became trying to solve the babysitter problem and help other busy parents like her find a more effective way to find babysitters. 

Why not take just an hour or so out of their day to meet a group of pre-interviewed babysitters in one go? What an idea! Nothing beats our “parent-intuition” and with the events being held close to home in residential suburbs – the convenience factor was such a bonus.

And so, Meet A Sitter was born!

The feeling of satisfaction in being able to help other parents get the support they need is wonderful.

Truth be told, she also gets a kick out of knowing she'll never have to worry about finding babysitters again.
